Emilia Ella "Mimi" Rosina (born 30 June 1988) is a Sodraxian-Lashardian actress and model, known for her work in Sodraxian, Maximan, and Lashardian cinema.
Rosina is best-known for her work in the films Jakub In Love (2007), Night Alone (2011), World of the Angels & Kings (2012), Raven (2015), and Nymphs (2016), and for the television series Blina (2011–14) and A Nightmare in Lashardia (2014).
Life and career[]
Early life[]
Rosina was born on 30 June 1988 as Emilia Rosina, in the Morgana district of Ubenmoor, Lashardia. Her father, Gurt Rosina, is a prominent Sodraxian businessman and billionaire, while her mother, Francine Charköhersher, is a Lashardian lawyer. She grew up very wealthy, and has one younger brother.
Rosina attended primary school in Morgana, where she excelled academically, particularly enjoying the arts. When she was seven years old, her parents divorced, and she remained with her mother in Lashardia. At age ten, she moved in with her father and lived in Vorshdek, Sodrax. In Sodrax, she attended a Lashardian international primary school, and graduated in 2003.
After graduating from primary school, Rosina returned to Lashardia, to attend Queen Maria's School for the Performing Arts, where she was a drama student. She graduated from high school in 2006.
2006–2010: Early roles in Lashardia[]
Following her graduation from high school, Rosina attempted to pursue an acting career in her birth country, Lashardia. She originally began modeling professionally as a way to make money when she struggled finding acting jobs, but eventually was able to solely rely on acting.
She made her acting debut in the 2007 comedy film, Jakub In Love. The film has went on to become an iconic comedy movie, and is continuously praised by critics and audiences retrospectively. She acted in several Lashardian films from 2007 to 2010, including Night Time Lovers (2007), Spy (2008), Paw Print (2008), How to Forget Your Ex (2008), Born Again (2009), Gregoria (2009), Meet Pal (2009), and Charms (2010).
2010–2014: Work in Sodrax and Illuminata Maxima[]
After establishing her career in Lashardia, Rosina moved back to Sodrax in 2010 in order to establish herself in Sodraxian and Maximan cinema. She made her acting debut in Sodrax, performing in the 2011 thriller film, Night Alone, which she won the Sodraxian Movie Award for Breakout Star. Later that year, she began starring in the Sodraxian black comedy television series, Blina, in which she played the titular character. The show ran from 2011 until 2014, and earned Rosina television awards in both Sodrax and Illuminata Maxima.
Rosina starred in several other films in Sodraxian and Maximan cinema; including Cinnamon (2011), Snowy Owl (2012), World of the Angels & Kings (2012), Pleferka County (2012), Hole (2013), Superunknown (2013), Trapped (2013), and Klakaf (2014).
2014–present: Return to Lashardia[]
In 2014, Rosina returned to work in Lashardia after being cast in A Nightmare in Lashardia. In season 1, Rosina portrayed secondary antagonist Mina, the best friend of Palina (played by Greta Danielöbeek), who creates a search party for her after she goes missing, and doesn't take kindly to Palina being turned into a vampire. Rosina left the show after one season due to her schedule, but stated that she'd be open to returning to the show in future seasons.
In 2015, she starred in the film Raven, which earned her the Lashardian Movie Award for Best Leading Actress in a Drama. She then went on to appear in the films Sunrise Sunset (2015), Nymphs (2016), and Where the Clouds Turn Blue (2016).
Personal life[]
Currently, Rosina splits her time between Breż, Ubenmoor in Lashardia, and Vorshdek, Sodrax. She holds dual citizenship to both countries, and was raised speaking both languages fluently.
