Life and career[]
Early life[]
Narine was born Narine Savievcha on 2 December 1989 in Manessa, Pesa. When she was four months old, she was adopted by a Lashardian couple and moved to Pivot, Jurgensland. Her adoptive parents changed her name to Sabina Palökarimek. Her adoptive father, Pal, worked in retail management, while her adoptive mother, Katarina, was a speech-language pathologist. She grew up an only child in a middle class family.
Narine attended primary school in Pivot, where she excelled academically, but was particularly interested in music. She was a distinguished cellist, and played in the Jurgensland Provincial Youth Orchestra. Narine graduated from primary school in 2005, and began attending a performing arts high school. She graduated from high school in 2008, and moved to Ubenmoor to pursue a career in music.
2008–2017: Early music career[]
After arriving in Ubenmoor, Narine settled in the Jorden district. She did not achieve much success in the music industry, and began working as a nightclub performer to support herself. In 2010, she began performing as a cellist with the Ubenmoor Philharmonic Orchestra. She left the orchestra in 2013 to attempt to reignite her music career once again. However, she was unable to find a recording label, and moved back to Pivot.
In Pivot, Narine performed as the lead singer and guitarist of a punk band, but largely stepped away from music, mainly spending her time working in a white-collar office job. In 2016, she left her job and returned to Ubenmoor to attempt to pursue a music career again.
2017–present: Starmaker and debut studio album[]
In summer 2016, Narine sent in an audition tape to Starmaker and was accepted on to the show. While on the show, she was a member of Team Era. On 10 April 2017, she was declared the runner-up of the show, but still signed a recording contract with Cyclops Records.
Narine's debut single, "Mesterbek", was released on 10 April 2017, following the show's final. It debuted at number-three in Lashardia, and has also peaked within the top ten in Pesa. Her debut studio album will be released later in the year.
Personal life[]
Narine resides in the Jorden district of Ubenmoor. She has revealed that she chose to perform under her birth name in order to connect with her Pesan roots, and because it's her "most personal name". Narine is a black Pesan.
