Zaras Abdulah Abdulöfarwa (born 3 October 1970) is a Lashardian record executive, record producer, songwriter, and the CEO of Akai Music Group, one of the biggest record labels in Lashardia. He is best known for being a judge on The X Factor: Lashardia.
Life and careerEdit
Abdulöfarwa was born in the Jorden district of Ubenmoor on 3 October 1970. His parents were Pesan government workers who came to Lashardia following the 1969 coup d'état. His mother Ayesha was a housewife while his father Abdul was a royal advisor to the King of Pesa until becoming a shoemaker upon arriving in Lashardia. The family changed their family name from "Farchi" to "Farwa" and adopted Lashardian naming traditions. Abdulöfarwa has an older sister Melina, and two older brothers Dran and Ali, and is the only member of his family born in Lashardia.
Abdulöfarwa attended primary school in Ubenmoor and then attended a business and law specialized high school, with the intent of becoming a prosecutor. He later attended the International University of Lashardia as a pre-law major, but changed his major in his second year to business.
After his graduation from university in 1992, Abdulöfarwa began working as a record executive for Akai Music Group. He rose through the ranks and in 2006, became the new CEO of the label. He subsequently began working as a record producer and songwriter, most notable for his collaborations with Olia Janisöpfleg.
The X Factor: LashardiaEdit
In 2014, Abdulöfarwa was revealed as one of the four judges of the music reality competition show The X Factor: Lashardia. In the first season, he mentored the boys category, and his act Zig Novölark reached second place.
Abdulöfarwa is of black Pesan descent and his family originates in Manessa, Pesa. He speaks fluent Pesan, Lashardian, and English but only holds Lashardian citizenship. Regarding religion, he has called himself "a liberal Muslim".
Abdulöfarwa married his girlfriend, model Alia Masonölee in 2000. They had a son, Deen, in 2001. Abdulöfarwa later stated that they're unable to have anymore children for undisclosed reasons. The family lives together in Morgana, Ubenmoor.
